My friend Carl said take lots of photos of the build so I thought I'd go one step further and start this blog so that family and friends can follow the progress of our extension build.
It's taken a long time to get to this point, six months for planning permission alone, but we are finally starting.
What are we doing?
Ultimately we're making space for Ern and the boys to move in. In development terms we're demolishing the existing garage and building a two storey side and rear extension. This will add a new reception room (games and computer room for the boys), utility, store room, new bedroom, master ensuite, bigger family bathroom and bigger boys bedroom! We're also adding underfloor heating and solar water heating, a new boiler and a pressurised hot water system.
