Day 252 - Curses!

The reason the builder's havent used the new flooring we bought to fill in the area in the dining room where the boiler cupboard was?


It doesn't match!

The reason we managed to accidentally buy the wrong colour flooring?

IKEA don't make the beech flooring that I have anymore - oh heck...

Unfortunately I think this means we have to replace the entire floor in the kitchen and dining room - bugger.

The doors and frame are in - love how they're looking. Ern has some concerns about the finish on the frame but generally we love them

We had this mad idea to increase the size of the dining room doorway to let more light into the centre of the house - this is it, and, umm, it's big!



At some point we'll have some nice oak & glass doors to go in the giant gap.

 
The hole to re-route the water pipe round to the side of the house is now full of water.
